Painters John Smibert and Robert Feke in R.I. This entry and others by the same author under the imprint of "Old Stone Bank" (i.e., Providence Institution for Savings) were part of that institution's historical pamphlet series. The pamphlets were reprints of scripts of a long-running radio series. Many of the scripts, together with some that were not published and others that are not cited here, were later brought together in somewhat condensed form in the four-volume "Old Stone Bank'' history of Rhode Island (entry 465).
